‘Who shirt is this,’ demands the husband in Portuguese. The wife angrily flings the shirt into a whooping crowd that has gathered below.
Their fight is juicy enough as is, but just off to the side a man appears in the couple's window.photophotophotophotophoto

Dubai's Latest Superlative: World's Tallest Twisted Tower

The world's tallest tower, the longest driverless public transit network, the largest illuminated advertising sign, to name a few. Now Dubai, one of seven emirates making up the United Arab Emirates, is home to another record: the tallest twisted structure in the world.Dubai's Latest Superlative: World's Tallest Twisted Tower
Cayan Tower, which spirals at 90 degrees from the bottom to the top, was inaugurated on Monday with a spectacular firework display as it stands in the Dubai Marina, a man-made harbour.
The 1 billion dirham ($272 million) residential tower has 75 floors housing 495 apartments. Developer, Cayan Real Estate Investment and Development Company, says 80% of the units have already been sold.
On a secondary market property website, a one-bedroom apartment carries a price tag of $435,000.
The structure stands at 307 meters high with each floor rotated by 1.2 degrees.Dubai's Latest Superlative: World's Tallest Twisted Tower
Construction on Cayan Tower, previously known as Infiniti Tower, started in 2006 but soon after that a major flooding in the basement caused a delay. The tower was set to finish in 2010 but then faced another hurdle, the financial crisis in 2009.
The credit crunch forced many projects in the city to be put on hold or be scrapped altogether.
Dubai, whose economy relies heavily on real estate, saw property prices slump as much as 60% during that time.
But a recovery is well underway in the Emirate.

22year-old Man Wins $30 million lottery after girlfriend Dumps him for Another

A 22 year old man Sandup Suigh, who was dumped by his girlfriend, has won $30.5 million on the lottery days after they broke up.
Sandeep Singh has been working two jobs to help support his family and was recently dumped by his girlfriend. But the 22-year-old Massachusetts man nicknamed “Sunny,” can console himself with a $30.5 million winning lottery ticket.
“My mom needs the help and my family could use it, so God definitely helped us out at the right time,” Singh said at a press conference on Wednesday to accept the winning check.
When asked if he had any children, spouse or girlfriend, Singh noted his girlfriend had just left him.
“She broke up with me, but right now, I’m not really worried about it,” Singh said, eliciting laughter from the audience. “I was heartbroken at first, but now I’m getting over it.”
When asked if he thinks the ex-girlfriend will call him back, Singh said, “Doesn’t matter. I hope not.”
For most of the press conference, Singh acknowledged that he was feeling “overwhelmed,” continually taking deep breaths while answering questions from reporters. But he shared a heartwarming story of how he has worked two jobs from the age of 14 to help his mother and sister pay the bills after his father passed away.
.”Is good to be patience with GOD. Should  he get back with his girlfriend?

Billionaire Mike Adenuga pays N200M for his burial spot?

An exclusive report from e-mag reveals:
Recently when we visited, billionaire mogul and Globacom boss, Dr. Mike Adenuga’s sister, Mrs. Esther Osunade, had one to herself.
The woman who was born in 1938 died in 2009 and according to sources, her grave ranks among the few most expensive ones even in that reserved corner.
As we were told, Mike Adenuga did not spare anything as a man of class, he allegedly paid whopping N200million to secure the space for his sister.
Her next door neighbor in this exclusive section is Gboyega, son of another super rich man, Otunba Adekunle Ojora and his fashionable wife, Ojuolape. Gbegi, like he was popularly known, was born in 1960 and died in 2011. Right next to him is one of the founders of GT Bank, Tayo Aderinokun.
His final resting place is not only very wondrously decorated, but also boasts of his two giant photographs, smiling on those that are still living.
Before the trio, however, is that of a true man of God, like it is dubbed inside the cemetery – the final resting place of former Redeemed Christian Church of God minister, Pastor Eskor Mfon. Born in 1953, he died in 2007.

I’ll marry my husband again and again – Mercy Johnson

Mercy Johnson is a well known Nollywood star in Nigeria, nay Africa. She’s founded her project – the Mercy Johnson Foundation.
See excerpts of her recent interview with a national newspaper, Sun.
You were at OJB’s house to see him and donate money, now you are here to donate to the Boys Reform Home in Lagos. What’s the idea?
No idea, we are just promoting the ideals of Mercy Johnson Foundation.  The idea is to identify the needs, evaluate and help in our own little way. All fingers are not equal; those in position to help should do so without hesitation. You will be hearing a lot about Mercy Johnson Foundation from now on. We have put our house in order and now ready to help those we can. I strongly believe that as stars we should live beyond the euphoria of stardom and the moment.  We will not always be here, what happens if you look back and realise you could do a lot to make the world better when you had the spotlight and you didn’t? I want to live beyond the moment.
Motherhood seems to have changed you…
Yes, motherhood changes women. You begin to see yourself as a co-creator. You begin to see yourself as a protector. Few days ago, I was feeding Purity and she started dragging the bottle with me with the hot water in it. She pushed the bottle, I had to quickly push her away from the water and let it pour on my arm instead. That’s the kind of protection I am talking about. I think it will also make you feel more responsible for other children as well. You begin to see them as children of some other mothers. You have a sense of responsibility to want to protect them as well.
How are you coping with your husband and the baby?
There’s nothing like coping, he’s making my job easier. He dots on her. He carries her, feeds and does everything for her such that she misses him when he’s not around.  You won’t believe she sleeps on his chest every night. He understands whatever adjustment I need to make when it comes to the baby. He’s a loving father?
What about being a loving husband?
Come on now, you know that Sam. He’s the best thing that happened to me. People usually say men are not reliable, in the case of my husband he’s a blessing. It’s obvious we are his priority.
So, your step of faith is paying off?
Yes. I am not saying its perfect, but this is close to perfection. If this is what it feels to be married, I want to marry my husband again and again.

Couple Who Posed As Bride & Groom At Age 4 Still Going Strong At 91

Ron and Eileen Everest never knew a world without each other. They were born in the same hospital – he in 1921, she in 1922 – and were friends practically from birth.
As 4-year-olds, they posed as bride and groom in a pretend wedding at a carnival. Later, barely out of their teens, they married for real.

And this year, 87 years after that old photo was taken, the one they fondly refer to as their first wedding rehearsal, the British couple are celebrating their platinum anniversary after 70 years of marriage.
“We have been in love from the age of zero,” Ron tells the Telegraph. “We were born in the same maternity hospital – we might have even been born in the same bed.”
It wasn’t fate, necessarily. In fact, Eileen took some convincing before she eventually agreed to marry Ron in 1943.

“I did not think much of Ron at all,” she tells the Daily Mail. “But I did think he looked handsome in his Navy uniform. To be honest, I liked the look of the uniform more than him.”
But 70 years after their wedding day, they can look back and see just how special their bond has been.
“We have had our ups and downs, but we have always got on,” Eileen says.
Adds Ron: “We promised to love, honor and obey – and I did all the obeying.”
Anyway, there’s no backing out now. As Eileen says: “I think we will stay together forever.”

World's oldest living siblings alive 818 years and counting

The Melis siblings, who live on the island of Sardinia, are officially the world's oldest, with nine brothers and sisters clocking up a total of 818 years between them, the Italian news media reported.

The older sibling, Consolata, is 105 and has nine children, 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, according to the news media, adding that the longevity of the Melis siblings had been recognized as a Guinness World Record.

Consolata turned 105 on Wednesday, according to reports in the news media, adding that the certification of the Guinness World Record has been awarded after a worldwide review of seven years.
The next oldest are Claudia 99, Mary 97, Antonio 93, Concetta 91, Adolfo 89, Vitalio 86, Vitalia 81 and Mafalda 78.

Claudia still attends church every week and Adolfo runs the local bar. Luca Deiana, professor of clinical biochemistry at the University of Sassari.

spain vs brazil(sunday 11pm)

Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari reported no injuries following victory against Uruguay and could name an unchanged side for Sunday's final.
Hulk has failed to score in his last nine international matches, meaning his starting spot could be under threat from Bernard or Lucas Moura.
Spanish duo Roberto Soldado and Cesc Fabregas missed the semi-final against Italy because of minor muscle problems.
However, both players are likely to be available against the Brazilians.

MATCH PREVIEW

Spain were arguably fortunate to book their place in the Confederations Cup final, but few neutrals will complain ahead of Sunday's mouth-watering Maracana showpiece.
While Italy would have also been worthy opponents for the Selecao, the Azzurri have already met Brazil twice this year. Instead the tournament climax will be what many are calling the "dream final" - a surprisingly rare clash between Brazil and Spain.
Play media
Spain celebrate
Highlights: Spain 0-0 Italy (7-6 on pens)
It seems an anomaly that they have met just once in the last 23 years, in a 1999 friendly which ended goalless.
Since then Spain have taken on and beaten all-comers. Brazil are the last big scalp left for them to claim, just as the Confederations Cup is the only senior title to elude them.
Victory against the Brazilians, who have not lost a competitive home game since 1975, will cement their legacy as one of the greatest sides ever.
It would also exorcise the memories of their 6-1 defeat at the Maracana 63 years ago, a result that extinguished Spain's hopes of winning the 1950 World Cup and remains their heaviest ever defeat at the tournament.
In addition to home advantage, Brazil will benefit from an additional day of rest. Spain coach Vicente del Bosque admits the gruelling semi-final against Italy has left his camp drained."Even I am exhausted and I have barely moved, so imagine how the players must feel, " he said. However, Del Bosque has refused to criticise the tournament scheduling. "I'm not looking for excuses… We have 72 hours, others have a bit more, but we want to put on a good show."
Spain have kept clean sheets in their last eight knock-out games at international tournaments, but expect goalkeeper Iker Casillas to be kept busy.
Brazil may not quite play the "Jogo Bonito" (beautiful game) purists demand, but with 22 goals in their last eight games they certainly possess firepower.
Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari is pleased with his side's Confederations Cup campaign, but insists they remain a work in progress.
"We achieved our goal of getting to the final and giving the players a sense of unity and the fans an idea that we have a good team that can get to the final of the World Cup," Scolari said.
"This team has to face a lot of difficulties and grow, it needs to mature in certain situations. The [World Cup-winning] 2002 team was much more prepared…We are still young, we struggle a little when it's a different game."

Kris Humphries Gives Kim Kardashian a Taste of Her Own Medicine by Delaying Divorce

They say the best revenge is living well, but if I'm Kris Humphries, I'm thinking that, actually, the best revenge is to make my divorce from Kim Kardashian a Herculean task comparable to making a two-footer from the baseline. Rumor has it that since Kim announced her pregnancy with Kanye WestKris is more motivated than ever to drag out their official split.
Interestingly enough, it all starts with Kanye West's father ...
According to Now magazine, Kanye's dad is very Catholic (can you qualify a religion? whatever) and is desperate for Kim and Kanye to tie the knot before the baby gets here so it's not born out of wedlock.
Can't you just feel Kris Humphries rubbing his delicate hands together as he develops his egomaniacal plan to prolong the divorce as long as possible? I sure can, and it's awesome.
Kim needs a taste of her own medicine. She totally turned Kris' world into a soap opera and now it's her turn to feel what it's like to have someone toy with your life. The marriage was all a game to her and poor Kris was swept away by paychecks, stardom, and the death grip Kris Jenner had on his balls.
I don't blame him for turning the tables on Kim. Two can play at her game. Can't wait to see how this all plays out, but knowing the Karashians, it won't be too long before this is made into an episode of reality TV for our viewing pleasure. Score!
What do you think?

‘GAME OF THRONES’ STAR REFUSES FUTURE NUDE SCENES?

Game of Thrones Season 3 Nude ScenesAny ‘Game of Thrones‘ fan would attest that the HBO series adapting George R.R. Martin‘s work naturally requires a mature touch, from its sexual intrigue to the blood flowing from every direction, but has one star had enough? New reports have emerged that one of the many scantily clad ‘Game of Thrones’ stars has sworn off any future nude scenes, but who among the cast made the surprising declaration?
This past Sunday’s ‘Game of Thrones’ episode “Second Sons” featured a surprising increase in the fantasy drama’s usual nudity quotient, with both series regulars Emilia Clarke and Carice Van Houten disrobing for intimate scenes, but one actress from the series has reportedly refused to film any additional scenes in the buff.
Reports from both The Telegraph and The New York Post feature Oona Chaplin (Talisa) making claims that an unidentified actress of the series expressed her desire to producers to be spared future nude scenes, saying “I want to be known for my acting, not for my breasts.” Chaplin refused to identify the actress in question, but most have pointed to Emilia Clarke (Daenerys) as a likely candidate, given the actress’ multiple nude scenes in the first season, compared to none in the second and the first since on Sunday night.
The series often features nudity both male and female, the female side admittedly dominating the ratio, though most seems to serve the darker, mature tones of Martin’s novels. If in fact Clarke turned out to be the actress in question, worth noting is that the star experienced a similar difficulty in her Broadway production of ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s,’ in which patrons reportedly snapped cell phone pictures of a bathtub scene.
Our own Britt Hayes has gone on record with her take on ‘Game of Thrones’ relationship with women, but what say you? Are you surprised to hear an actress among the cast voicing dissatisfaction with the HBO drama’s use of female nudity? Who do you think might have been the one to make the refusal?

The 10 Most Anticipated Movies of 2014

Screen Shot 2012-08-21 at 3.21.09 PM.png
maleficent-angelina-jolie_510.jpegMaleficent — The fairy-tale re-imaginings haven’t been wildly successful yet, but there is reason to believe that first-time director, Robert Stromberg, can bring the same look and feel he brought as the visual effects supervisor on Pan’s Labyrinth to this dark tale told from the perspective of Sleeping Beauty’s evil nemesis. It doesn’t hurt that Angelina Jolie will fill the title role, or that the cast is rounded out by Elle Fanning (Princess Aurora), Juno Temple (Thistletwit), Sharlto Copley (Stefan) and Peter Capaldi (The Thick of It) as King Kinloch.
Noah — Here’s all you need to know about Noah: It comes from Darren Aronofsky, who I believe is trying to get his redo on The Fountain with a visually sumptuous and dark, existential Biblical tale. Aronofsky has described his Noah as “a man who loves Earth and all of its animal inhabitants but has become disillusioned with the way humans have treated their planet,” so I expect something very dark and politically charged. Russell Crowe is set to play the title character, with Emma Watson, Jennifer Connelly, and Anthony Hopkins also on board. These images from Aronofksy’s Noah graphic novel should give us some hint as to what to expect.
102111-aronofsky-noah.jpeg
Chris-Hemsworth-b.jpegRobopocalypse — Assuming that Steven Spielberg actually follows through on his promise to direct Robopacalypse, the film — scripted by Drew Goddard and based on a Daniel H. Wilson novel — holds immense potential. The novel is already a critical favorite, described as an Andromeda Strain for a new century. Comparisons to early Michael Crichton are aplenty. Set the not-too-distant future, Robopocalypse is about robots that have made our lives a lot easier: they help clean our kitchens, drive our cars, and fight our wars — until they are turned into efficient murderers by a sentient artificial intelligence buried miles below the surface of Alaska. What? That sounds batshit. But, robots, murder, and Spielberg! Rumors that Chris Hemsworth could board the project in the lead role make it all that more appealing.
original.jpegThe Amazing Spider-Man 2 — Wait, wait. Before you loosen your bowels, hear me out: My opinion of the first The Amazing Spider-Man was that, if it weren’t for the fact that the story had already been told, it could’ve been a great film, a better version of Sam Raimi’s first movie. Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone were an amazing pair, and Marc Webb did a good job with the film, too. What the movie was missing was a good, original screenplay. Now that the rebooted franchise has gotten the requisite origins story out of the way, they have the freedom to tell a better, darker story.Spider-Man 2 was the best in the Raimi trilogy, and I expect this one to be the best in Garfield’s, especially if Sony decides to take it to a that place and kill off Gwen in this installment.
the-hobbit-movie-image-593x408.jpegThe Hobbit Part 3 — I’m not that excited to be putting this on the list, but by the time it rolls around, The Hobbit Part 3 will be the most anticipated movie of the year, if only because it will finally see the end of a trilogy that has no business being a trilogy. How are they going to turn a very modest little book into three movies? I don’t know, but I’m really excited for it to end. It also has a couple of cast members going for it that the LOTR movies did not, namely Benedict Cumberbatch (Smaugh) and Martin Freeman (Bilbo Baggins). The bad news: There’s a lot of LOTR characters in the movie that don’t belong.
The-Hunger-Games-is-like-Twilight.jpegThe Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I — I feel similarly about Mockingjay Part I as I do about three Hobbit movies: It shouldn’t exist. Mockingjay is the weakest of the Hunger Games novels and therefore, the least designed to be broken in two. There’s not even a natural break for the movie. However, my hope is that the screenwriters find a way — in expanding the novel into two movies — to bring some new elements, and more life to a novel that clearly was written under a tight deadline. There are great characters in The Hunger Games and it’s a splendid universe. Hopefully, the two movies can give the final chapter the justice it didn’t receive in the books.
tumblr_m4970keDqu1r7mhcoo1_500.jpegX-Men: Days of Future Past — 2011 was meant to be the year of the Superhero, but it turned out that the first one out of the gate, X-Men: First Class, was the best of a bunch that included Captain America, Thor and Green Lantern. The young X-Men are due again to compete against Captain America in 2014, and I expect a similar result: Matthew Vaughn is back, and James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, and Jennifer Lawrence are more popular than ever. It helps, too, that it’s based on one of the most famous X-Men stories, a very dark one that involves a world where mutants are hunted mercilessly by sentinels. Lots of X-Men may die. That’s my kind of superhero movie.
6a00d8341c630a53ef01538f256004970b-600wi.jpegKing Dork — I cannot guarantee that King Dork will arrive in 2014 (though, that is its current forecast), as development on the film has stopped and started on several occasions. A director has finally been hired — Matt Piedmont (Casa de mi Padre) — and D.V. DeVincentis (High Fidelity) wrote the screenplay. Last I heard, Thomas Mann (Project X), Keir Gilchrist (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) and Nick Offerman were attached to the film. It is a brilliant, funny, amazing coming-of-age novel with a mystery twist — probably one of my favorite books of the last decade — and it’s really well-designed for a movie. With the right people behind it, it could be one hell of an amazing film, one I’ve been anticipating since Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s production company bought the rights back in 2006.
tumblr_m4qgn55tzr1rncv21o1_500.pngJupiter Ascending — Nobody knows a ton about The Wachowski Sibling’s Jupiter Ascending, except that it’s being described as completely off-the-sh*t bat-wall, that it stars Charming Potato and Mila Kunis, an offer was made to Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and it’s expected to be the first entry in another Wachowski trilogy. This is the story, as broken down by Vulture, based on an anonymous source:
The story centers on an unlikely and reluctant heroine, a recent Russian immigrant — played by actual Ukrainian native Mila Kunis — who scrubs toilets for a living. Unbeknownst to her, however, she possesses the same perfect genetic makeup as the Queen of the Universe and is therefore a threat to her immortal rule. These other evolved beings are categorized into various groups, but all of them share at least some human DNA. The rest is animal DNA, which heightens their best qualities — e.g., soldiers obtain the fearlessness of wolves, workers obtain the industriousness of bees, etc.Soon, an evolved bounty hunter — likely played by Channing Tatum — is sent out to dispatch the cleaning lady with the Great Pair of Nucleotides. However, true to Matrix fashion, they fall in love. From there, calamity ensues.
The Wachowskis, plus Mila Kunis, is enough to get me excited. The sci-fi Snow White story is just gravy.
hot-fuzz-008_edited-1_1173848276.jpegThe World’s End — I am super stoked about The World’s End the final part in the Cornetto trilogy that includes Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Once again, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost will reunite with director Edgar Wright. The team behind it is a big enough sell, but the premise seals it:
The film starts 20 years after five childhood friends attempted an epic pub crawl. The friends reunite when one of them becomes hell-bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.
